Manak Solicitors Ltd ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us in connection with the World Cup Predictor game.

Information we collect

  • First name: used to personalise your prediction card and leaderboard entry.
  • Postcode: used solely to allocate you to your nearest Manak community area (Orpington, Sevenoaks, Gravesend or Biggin Hill). We do not store your full postcode; only the outward code (e.g. "BR6") is retained.

How we use your information

  • To administer the prediction game and calculate scores.
  • To display anonymised leaderboard entries (first name and area only).
  • To contact prize draw winners.
  • To send marketing communications only where you have given explicit consent.

Legal basis for processing

Data retention

We will retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. Prediction data and account information will be retained for the duration of the World Cup 2026 tournament and up to 12 months thereafter, after which it will be securely deleted. Prize draw entrant data will be retained for 12 months after the draw to satisfy regulatory requirements.

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data; to restrict or object to processing; and to data portability. To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@manaksolicitors.co.uk.

Data sharing and third parties

We do not sell, trade or otherwise transfer your personal data to outside parties except where necessary to operate the game (our hosting and database providers, bound by strict confidentiality agreements) or where required by law.
